Dental Hygienists in Altrincham, Sale and Hale Barns
Our friendly team of dental hygienists will work with you to ensure you keep your teeth and gums healthy and clean.
We encourage a daily cleaning routine to ensure your teeth and gums are free from plaque and tartar. This will also help reduce bad breath.
This is customized to each individual. Regular appointments with the hygienists at Barrington Dental Care every 3 months will help you by evaluating how well you are doing and where extra advice can be provided.
We recommend that you bring your toothbrush, floss and interdental brushes so that we can advise you with the tools you use every day so you get the most from every visit.
Please visit our download page should you wish to have more information on gum disease (gingivitis) and advanced gum disease (periodontitis) and the effects on your dental and general health.
Our recommended general cleaning routine:
- Brush twice daily (morning and last thing before bed). You should clean your teeth, gums and tongue. An electric or sonic toothbrush will help you get a more effective clean.
- Do not rinse with water or mouthwash after brushing to avoid washing away the fluoride that can help repair the damage caused from acid and which helps treat sensitivity.
- Clean in between your teeth with floss or a small bottle-like brush to get to those areas that your toothbrush can’t. It is no surprise that most tooth decay and gum disease start in these areas.
